Bordered by a 90-year-old hemlock forest, the 24-hectare UBC Farm is a green treasure. The working farm is a learning facility for UBC students, and the staff also run educational programs for elementary students. Aside from produce, there’s also cattle, chickens, and honeybees to see. From June to October, drop by on Saturdays to buy fresh produce. Or sign up for the Community Supported Agriculture program, and the Farm will deliver a box of produce (whatever’s freshest) to your door every week.
