SUMMER IN THE SQUARE 2018
The summer season simply calls for patios and outdoor performances! Our Summer in the Square series features local artists who will regale and entertain you in Norman MacKenzie Square through the warm summer months. Performances will be twice a week, from June 30th to September 4th. So grab a beer at BierCraft or a refreshing iced drink from Blenz and sit out on their patios, or take a seat in Norman MacKenzie Square, and enjoy the amazing performances!
Today's Artist: Feona Lim
Feona Lim is a songwriter originally from Alberta. Influenced by her mother French canadian/Haudenosaunee (people of the long house) as well as her father Chinese/kadazan dusun (indigenous peoples of Borneo) who shared their diverse love of music with Feona from an early age. While Feonas music has been labelled contemporary folk it is NOT a stretch to hear the deeper sadness, hope and resilience that came from her early influences. Feona now resides in Port Coquitlam with her own young family where she continues to write as well as work
as a birth and death Doula within her Indigenous communities and beyond.
