Unless you’re a die-hard visitor, you might not know there are actually four trails leading to Wreck Beach – the 7.8 km strand of sand that wraps itself around Vancouver’s most western point. Trail 6 is the most popular (with a total of 473 stairs) but the more hidden Trail 4 leads to a quieter area known as Tower Beach. From there, you can walk south (left from the stairs) to join the clothing-optional scene at Wreck Beach or walk north (right from the stairs) to Acadia Beach.
Getting here: Look for the staircase on the north side of the UBC Museum of Anthropology. Parking: There’s pay parking close to Trail 3 and 4 at the Museum of Anthropology.
